Kollam Suicide News: Recovery of Student’s Body after Two Days

Karunagapally ∙ The body of Saja Fatima (15) of Thodiyur Muzhangodi Putanthara, who jumped from Pallikalar near Karurkadav Bridge, was recovered from the north side of Karurkadav Bridge at Pallikalar yesterday followingnoon. Saja Fatima went missing on Wednesday morning. In the morning, he had left the house to go to the nearby tuition. The incident came to light when Saja Fatima’s bicycle and shoes were found on the side of the road and the nearby CCTV was checked.

Subsequently, the fire brigade from Karunagapally, the scuba team from Kollam and the local people searched different parts of Pallikalar but might not find him on the first day. The body was found yesterday morning. An inquest was prepared at the Karunagappally Taluk Hospital and the body was buried following a post-mortem was conducted at the Paripally Medical College.

She is the daughter of T. Sajad and R. Minimol (taluk hospital nurse). She was a 10th class student of Karunagappally Girls High School. Siblings: Aisha and Irfan. The police informed that the letter had been written. The note says that the concern is related to the upcoming SSLC exam.
