The official Kuwait News Agency reported, on Wednesday, that the Emir of the country, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, was admitted to the hospital due to an emergency health problem and that his condition is stable.
The agency quoted the Minister of the Amiri Diwan as saying that the Emir of Kuwait “was admitted to the hospital this morning following an emergency health problem to receive the necessary treatment and undergo medical examinations, and that his health condition is stable.”
The agency’s report did not clarify the health problem suffered by Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, 86 years old.
But Sheikh Nawaf handed over power several times during his rule to his deputy because he underwent medical examinations.
Official media reported earlier that the prince went to the United States to undergo medical examinations in March 2021.
