El Prat de LlobregatHectares of thick reedbeds, pine forests and lush coastal vegetation that hide a lagoon and stretch as far as the sea. The green mosaic of the Ricarda, a protected natural area in the Llobregat delta, survives miraculously well preserved in an enclave where it would seem that everything is hostile to it: the pressure of millions of people and road infrastructure, the activity of the port of Barcelona on one side and, on the other, and close by, the El Prat airport, which now wants to grow again by invading its wetland space.
