This January 6, the authorities detained Juan Merino Aurich, former president of the Juan Aurich club, for the alleged kidnapping of a 21-year-old in the vicinity of the Jockey Club of Chiclayo, region Lambayeque.
According to information released by Semanario Expresión, the businessman and two other people demanded that the victim identified as Víctor Andrés Rubio Vigo do the transfer of a vehicle Mercedes-Benz, valued at more than $ 20,000, for an alleged debt that the owner of the unit would have.
The citizen was intercepted in a pharmacy located in the Santa Victoria urbanization, from where he was taken to a warehouse in La Victoria. There, the victim was allegedly beaten and later transferred to a notary’s office, where it did not materialize the transfer of the car.
Finally, he was taken to the Jockey Club and was held there until 6:00 pm, when personnel from the Subunit of Tactical Actions (SUAT), members of the La Victoria Police Station and Radio Patrulla came to his rescue.
Luis Miguel Ochoa Mogollón and Martín Harry Merino Aurich were found detained together with the businessman. Those intervened were placed at the disposal of the Criminal Investigation Division (Divincri) and the Chiclayo Anti-Extortion Unit for the corresponding investigations.
