“Latest Earthquakes in Lebanon: National Center of Geophysics Reports 3.4 Magnitude Quake”

The National Center of Geophysics in Bahnas, which is affiliated with the National Council for Scientific Research, reported that at 17:45 an earthquake measuring 3.4 degrees on the Richter scale occurred in the Raashin-Keserwan area, and was felt by citizens in several areas.

Also, a second earthquake in Lebanon, which was felt by some residents of Keserwan, originated in Mayrouba, measuring 2.4 degrees on the Richter scale.

In a related context, Tony Nemer, a researcher in geology at the American University, wrote on his Twitter account: “Two earthquakes hit Lebanon this followingnoon with a magnitude of 2.4 and 3.4 degrees.

“It’s simple and nothing to worry regarding,” Nimr said.
