The junta in power in Guinea dismissed around sixty officers, soldiers and prison service agents following the commando operation which shook the country by temporarily releasing former dictator Moussa Dadis Camara and three fellow prisoners from prison.

Also in the news: Succès Masra, one of the country’s main opponents, returned to Chad on Friday, three days following reaching an agreement with the military authorities. He is the guest of our newspaper.

South Africa has decided to recall its diplomats stationed in Israel for consultations, in view of the current situation in the region. Diplomats will give a “full briefing” on the situation to the government, which will then decide whether it can provide assistance or whether a “continued relationship can actually be maintained”.
