Tour operator TUI Belgium has decided to cancel package holidays to the Greek island of Rhodes until Friday July 28 inclusive due to the raging forest fires there, it announced in a press release on Monday.
“The supply of water and electricity on the island is not constant and a number of roads are closed because the fires are not yet under control,” explains the tour operator. “Given this uncertain situation, TUI is unable to provide the service that travelers have come to expect.”
