It was through a press release published this Friday, November 17 in the morning that the Amaury group announced the departure of the Managing Director of the L’Equipe Group, Laurent Prud’homme. “After three years at the head of the company and having contributed to transforming the brand’s media by notably developing the digital platform L’Équipe and the audiovisual production company, “21 Production”, Laurent Prud’homme decided to seize a new professional opportunity” it is indicated.

Laurent Prud’homme, who was Managing Director of Discovery/Eurosport France, is expected to join Olympique Lyonnais as CEO, reporting directly to the President and owner of the Ligue 1 football club, John Textor.

Aurore Amaury, President of the L’Équipe Group and co-director of the eponymous Group, will take over as interim General Manager of the L’Équipe Group. She will manage all of the brand’s media: L’Équipe, France Football, Vélo Magazine. Aurore Amaury will also be in charge of “the organization of events and the diversification strategy”. His brother, Jean-Etienne Amaury, also co-general manager of the Amaury Group, is president of Amaury Sport Organization (ASO), the sporting events organization branch.
