Laurentians: the body of a woman who has been missing for a year and a half found in a river

The body of Mélanie Robillard, 38, was found in the Rouge River, in the Laurentians, last Saturday, when the woman had been reported missing on 1is January 2021.

On Saturday, May 21, following a citizen’s report, patrollers from the MRC des Laurentides were called to go to the municipality of Huberdeau and discovered a body in the Rouge River, reported the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).

The body was identified and, on Friday followingnoon, the SQ indicated that it was the body of Mélanie Robillard, missing since the night of 1is January 2021.

The investigation is continuing to determine the causes and circumstances of this event.
