Vienna/Bregenz – After the leadership of the Socialist Youth (SJ) Vorarlberg, the leadership of the SJ Alsergrund is also threatened with expulsion from the party. The reason is membership in the Marxist association “Der Funke” or participation in a demonstration by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, reports the “Kurier”. “The rejection of the state of Israel, but also the communist ideology, cannot be reconciled with social democracy,” SPÖ Alsergrund managing director Christopher Maurer was quoted as saying.
