In an interview with Lebanon Debate, Finance Minister Youssef Khalil considered that “the pensions provided by the government today, which extend to all employees, are a good thing.”

He said: “We were eager to do something better and approach the economy where positive things had happened,” as he described the reality as “not great, but the basic indicators are positive and we will publish them in the coming days.”

He expected that “things will be good in 2024, but this positivity must be linked to the behavior of those concerned and complemented by specific practice.”
