Lee Hae-in, Four Continents Figure Skating Championships Gold… 14 years after Yuna Kim

    Figure fairy Lee Hae-in won a thrilling come-from-behind gold medal at the 2023 International Ice Skating Federation Four Continents Championships.

    Lee Hae-in scored a total of 141.71 points, including a technical score (TES) of 74.96 and a arts score (PCS) of 66.75, in the women’s single free skating competition held today (11th) at the Broadmoor World Arena in Springs, Colorado, USA. Lee Hae-in won with a final total of 210.84 points including the short program.

    Lee Hae-in placed 6th in the short event, but won the gold medal with a perfect performance in the free skating. This is the first gold medal won in this competition in 14 years since Kim Yu-na in 2009 in Korean female figure skating history.

    ‘Figure skating general’ Kim Ye-rim took the silver medal with a final total of 209.29 points. Kim Ye-rim swallowed regret as a mistake came out in the prepared triple salcho in the second half.
