Monte Carlo – Bayer Leverkusen has moved into the round of 16 of the Europa League following a penalty thriller. The German Bundesliga team equalized the result from the first leg (2:3) on Thursday in the second round with a 3:2. After no goals were scored in extra time, the “Werkself” kept the upper hand 5:3 on penalties. In addition to Leverkusen, Juventus, FC Sevilla and Sporting Lisbon also secured a ticket for the round of 16.
