Leverkusen – Bayer Leverkusen goes into the international break as leaders of the German Bundesliga. The Werkself beat Union Berlin 4-0 at home on Sunday and equaled the club record with their seventh win in a row. Bayer is now two points ahead of defending champions Bayern Munich. Seven points behind Bayern, Leipzig is now in fourth place following a 3-1 win over Freiburg – also thanks to a goal from ÖFB team player Christoph Baumgartner.
