Lexus has surprised us with the introduction of an ROV concept, a hydrogen-powered vehicle that seamlessly combines near-zero emissions with excellent off-road capability.
With an adventurous look, the guys at Lexus have developed an off-road vehicle, with bare suspension, roll cage and big tires to drive on the most difficult terrain. Regarding its measurements: 3,120 mm long, 1,725 mm wide and 1,800 mm high.
Lexus has created a bodywork capable of protecting passengers, incorporating the brand’s iconic grille and maintaining sufficient travel for the front suspension. In addition, the front fenders have been designed to protect the occupants from the mud and gravel of the terrain.
Painted in dark bronze, its body is lightweight and the suspension is designed for comfort and fun. The interior, based on the Tazuna concept, a simple meter that instantly reads the information the driver needs.
Bet on hydrogen
This ROV concept features a 1.0-liter hydrogen engine that works just like a fuel engine, but with a high-pressure tank for compressed hydrogen that is delivered precisely by a direct hydrogen injector. In addition, this new engine produces close to zero emissions, as the amount of engine oil that is burned while driving is negligible.
