Libya’s Central Bank reports $23.3 billion in oil revenues for 2023 – Latest Updates

The Central Bank of Libya announced on Sunday that the country’s oil revenues amounted to 111.4 billion Libyan dinars (regarding 23.3 billion US dollars).

The Central Bank reported that oil sales over the last year amounted to 99.1 billion dinars ($20.7 billion), and revenue from oil royalties reached 12.3 billion. dinars (around 2.6 billion dollars).

The country’s total revenues amounted to 125.9 billion dinars ($26.3 billion), while expenditure reached 125.7 billion dinars ($26.2 billion), according to the same source.

In 2022, the country’s revenues were 134.4 billion dinars ($28.1 billion), while expenditures were 127.9 billion dinars ($26.7 billion).

Oil and gas are a major source of income for Libya. However, the sector has suffered from armed conflicts and the closure of oil fields and ports in recent years.
