DEPUTY General Chair (Waketum) of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Rusdi Kirana is confirmed to be Deputy Chair of the Indonesian MPR. The Lion Air airline boss is a representative of the PKB faction.
“It has been (decided) that Rusdi will become deputy chairman of the MPR),” said Chairman of the DPR PKB Fraction Jazilul Fawaid when contacted, Wednesday, October 2 2024.
An official announcement will be made at the plenary session to determine the leadership. Rusdi will be appointed along with other MPR leaders.

“Later it will be officially presented at the MPR plenary session to be confirmed and appointed as deputy chairman of the Indonesian MPR,” said Jazilul.
Previously, a video circulated saying “surprisingly, PKB appointed Lion Air boss Rusdi Kirana as deputy chairman of the MPR RI”. The video circulated on social media.
In the video, Rusdi is seen touring the Parliament Complex with other PKB politicians. He was also accompanied by Jazilul, Secretary General (Sekjen) of PKB Hasanuddin Wahid, as well as the older brother of PKB Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar alias Cak Imin, Abdul Halim Iskandar. (Z-9)
