After successfully holding their Wait Me Di solo concert in Jakarta last year, the band from Yogyakarta, Sheila On 7, this year announced five new cities that would be their Wait Aku Di solo concert destinations. The list of five cities that will be the location for Sheila On 7’s solo concert, Wait for Me Di, is Samarinda, Makassar, Pekanbaru, Medan and Bandung.
The single concert Wait for Me at Sheila On 7 was promoted by Antara Suara. In this year’s five-city series, Antara Suara also collaborated with Goldlive as a promoter partner.
“Bringing the single concert Wait for Me at Sheila On 7 to another city has of course been in my mind from the start. “However, with a fairly large scale format like in Jakarta, thorough preparation is needed,” said Antara Suara CEO Andri Verraning Ayu during a press conference for the Wait for Me Di Sheila On 7 concert at Dialogue, Kemang, South Jakarta, Wednesday, (17/4).
One of the choices from the list of five cities is a city that Sheila On 7 rarely visits. In fact, the last time it was visited was dozens of years ago by Sheila On 7. Regarding its mass base, Antara Suara actually doesn’t bother. However, the challenge is infrastructure readiness. This includes looking for a concert location that can accommodate a large capacity audience.
“In these five cities we will also bring local bands or musicians from the area as openers,” added Goldlive Indonesia event director Faqih Mulyawan. (Z-10)
