Devilishly heady and totally eighties, the new collaboration between the German producer Purple Disco Machine and the French Kungs is our favorite of the week. This “Substitution” is undoubtedly a kind of disco anthem of the moment. After titles like “In the Dark” or “Dopamine” on one side and “Never Going Home” or “Clap Your Hands” on the other, the meeting of the two artists might only be a success. This new disco-funk title also samples a hit of the time, “Big In Japan” by Alphaville.
