Lithuanian President’s Unannounced Visit to Kyiv: Discussions on NATO Summit and EU Assistance to Ukraine

Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda arrived on an unannounced visit to Kyiv, the press service of the head of state reports.

Nauseda will meet with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and take part in an event dedicated to the 27th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of Ukraine.
During the meeting with Zelensky, he will discuss the agenda of the NATO summit to be held in July in Vilnius, Ukraine’s negotiations on EU membership, as well as the issue of Lithuanian and EU assistance to Ukraine.

Nauseda arrived in Kiev from The Hague, where the issue of supporting Ukraine was discussed at a meeting between NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and the heads of seven states – Poland, Romania, the Netherlands, Belgium, Norway and Albania. After that, the Lithuanian President will travel to Brussels for a meeting of the Council of European Leaders.
