Busan, Korea – LIV Golf has announced its return to South Korea in 2026, solidifying a multi-year agreement with Asiad Country Club to host the LIV Golf Korea tournament from May 28-31, 2026. The move marks an expansion of the league’s presence in Asia and promises a competitive event featuring some of the world’s top golfers.
The 2026 tournament will be the second edition of LIV Golf Korea, following a successful inaugural event in 2025. Last year, Bryson DeChambeau secured both the individual and team titles, leading his Crushers GC team to victory. Asiad Country Club, located in Korea’s second-largest city, has a history of hosting international tournaments, including the BMW Ladies Championship and the 2002 Asian Games, establishing it as a premier championship venue.
“Bringing LIV Golf back to Korea, and to Busan for the first time, is an important next step for the league and for our fans here,” said Scott O’Neil, CEO of LIV Golf. “The appetite for LIV Golf continues to grow, and Asiad Country Club, and the city of Busan gives us a venue that meets our ambitions for the event, both competitively and culturally in Korea. We’re excited to build on the momentum from our debut last season and deliver another memorable week for Korean fans.”
Fans eager to attend the 2026 tournament can join the waitlist at LIVGolf.com to secure tickets. Details regarding hospitality packages and grounds passes will be released soon, with limited inventory expected. The league as well plans to offer premium hospitality and corporate experiences, as well as group ticket options for parties of 10 or more. Children aged 12 and under will be admitted with complimentary Grounds Pass admission, accompanied by a paying adult.
DeChambeau to Defend Title Against a Star-Studded Field
Bryson DeChambeau will return to defend his 2025 title, where he finished with a score of 19 under par, securing his third LIV Golf victory, according to LIV Golf’s official website. He will face competition from a world-class field, including former Ryder Cup star Anthony Kim. Kim recently achieved a significant win at the LIV Golf Adelaide event, defeating both DeChambeau and Jon Rahm to claim his first professional victory in nearly 16 years.
The 2025 LIV Golf Korea event saw a thrilling finish, with DeChambeau edging out his Crushers GC teammate, Charles Howell III, by two shots. Howell finished with a final-round score of 9-under 63, while DeChambeau carded a 6-under 66, sealing the victory with a 48-foot birdie putt on the 17th hole, as reported by ESPN.
