Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyj addresses an audience in Vienna tonight and speaks live at the 4Gamechangers Festival by ProSiebenSat.1Puls4 and ORF with Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen and Federal Chancellor Karl Nehammer (ÖVP).
The organizers announce this talk “subject to current events”. After the failure of a performance in Parliament, it would be Selenskyj’s first public live appearance in Austria since the beginning of the war.
Clooney is coming too
So far, the Ukrainian President had only won over audiences in Austria at two solidarity concerts in late March and mid-June in pre-recorded video messages. If the live performance does not fail due to scheduling or military reasons, according to the organizers, Selenskyj should address an appeal to the Austrian population and explain the humanitarian situation and current situation in his home country.
Hollywood star and human rights activist George Clooney is also a guest at the m 4Gamechangers Festival. In the late followingnoon he will speak on the future of human rights.
