Liverpool Announces Signing of Dominik Szoboszlai: Exciting New Addition to the Midfield

Liverpool announced on Sunday the signing of Hungarian international midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai from RB Leipzig. According to the British press, the 22-year-old player (32 caps) has signed up for 5 years and the release clause paid by the Reds amounts to 70 million euros.

Spotted at the age of 15 by Red Bull Salzburg, Szoboszlai learned his skills at the Liefering club which serves as his reserve team, before joining the first team in May 2018. Two and a half years, 83 matches and 26 goals later he moved up a notch by joining Leipzig in January 2021, where he scored 20 goals and provided 22 assists in 91 games.
