Los Angeles Clippers, carefree Lakers in NBA

The two Los Angeles teams had a rather quiet final 2020 outing. The Clippers swept Portland (128-105) in a ultimately disappointing poster. And the Lakers assured without a hitch a success in San Antonio (121-107) where the event was the historic accession of a woman, in this case, Becky Hammon, to coaching, after the expulsion in the second quarter. -time of Gregg Popovich, doubly sanctioned for a technical fault.

LeBron James celebrated his thirty-sixth birthday in Texas with a still very complete game (26 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists). He completed a 1,000th game in a row with at least 10 points scored in the regular season, a record obviously, to extend a series started in January 2007. His lieutenants Anthony Davis (20 points, 8 rebounds) and Dennis Schröder (21 points ) were in tune as rookie Wesley Matthews brought in 18 points coming off the bench with a perfect 6 of 6 from long distance.

Opposite, point guard Dejounte Murray broke his career points record (29) but Spurs have never been able to dispute the success of the defending champions.

The leader of the franchise scored 28 points (9 of 17 shooting, 7 assists) and was well supported by Paul George (23 points, 7 assists) or Nicolas Batum (11 points to 4 of 6 shooting, 5 rebounds, 3 assists in 26 minutes).

Obviously well recovered from the huge slap suffered against Dallas on Sunday (73-124), the Clippers showed their best face and settled at the top of the Western Conference. Portland did not exist Wednesday at Staples Center (57-76 at the break), starting with Damian Lillard (20 points mainly on free throws, a small 3 of 14 success in the shoot).
