Budapest – Victoria Hudson took fifth place in the javelin throw final at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest with a throw of 62.92 m. It was the best result for the Lower Austrian at a major global event. Japan’s Haruka Kitaguchi (66.73 m) won gold ahead of Colombia’s Flor Denis Ruíz Hurtado (65.47) and Australia’s Mackenzie Little (63.38). For the ÖLV it was the second top ten result in Hungary following seventh place with Lukas Weißhaidinger (discus).
