Lukasz Piszczek talks about his departure from Borussia Dortmund and Erling Haaland

…his loyalty to BVB: “In 2012, following my second championship title and cup victory, I said in an interview that I might imagine ending my career at BVB. I’m a guy who doesn’t like to change. I stay to my word. But I also know that a professional career depends on many factors. We had a few players who would have liked to end their careers at BVB, but there were coaches who didn’t see them in the first eleven. So they had to switch. After all, the players want and need to develop further. Luckily for me it was always the case that every coach wanted me and backed me. Luckily I was able to fulfill my words and end my career at BVB. There were inquiries from other clubs, but I never really looked into it because I always felt comfortable in Dortmund.”
