Lüneburg, Germany – In an inspiring display of unity and peace, this year’s ecumenical service on Whit Monday brought together Christians from various denominations under clear skies in the enchanting spa park.
Thousands gathered in bright sunshine, filling the seating areas and every available spot in front of the concert shell. The event was entitled “Check everything and keep the good” and was jointly led by the Evangelical, Catholic, and Free Church Communities of the region.

The service was filled with harmony and diversity, highlighted by performances from the Wind Choirs of the Winsen-Lüneburg District Association and the moving melodies of the Ukrainian vocal ensemble “Synkopa”. “Synkopa” sang in both Ukrainian and Russian, their voices echoing the deep longing for reconciliation and peace that has been echoed globally.
The interfaith gathering was marked by intercessions for people suffering in crisis and war areas, both internationally and within the country.
