The former chef and founder of Cirque du Soleil, Guy Laliberté, has put his sumptuous residence located in the Outremont district up for sale 17 years following purchasing it.

Purchased by the businessman for the sum of $2.5 million in October 2006, the castle on Maplewood Street has been for sale on the REALTOR.ca site since Thursday. Listed at $13.88 million, the luxury residence has eight bedrooms and six bathrooms.

Between 2007 and 2009, the billionaire carried out major renovations and the expansion of the building built in 1930.

The residence located very close to Mount Royal which belongs to Guy Laliberté through a trust is worth nearly $9 million, according to its 2021 evaluation.
