Driver flees following accident with luxury SUV

Who does not know that? You’re lost in thought as you speed through downtown Frankfurt in your luxury SUV early in the morning, you don’t really pay attention in a corner that’s far too tight on a rain-soaked road and – hey presto – the car crashes into a construction site barrier. A quick look is enough: total loss, the car is gone. But because you’re still in a hurry, you leave the broken box there and go on your way.
This is what happened on Sunday morning on Neue Mainzer Straße. As the police have now announced, the exact cause of the accident and who caused the accident are still being investigated. Officers recovered the abandoned car. The damage to the Audi RS Q8 is estimated at 150,000 euros.
