Mades and the City of San Bernardino collaborate on the update of the Urban and Territorial Planning Plan

Asunción, IP Agency.- In a joint initiative, the Ministry of the Environment and Sustainable Development (Mades) and the Municipality of San Bernardino are working on updating the municipal zoning and the urban and territorial planning plan.

This effort seeks to sustainably manage the urban growth experienced by the San Bernardino district in recent years, especially considering its location within the Ypacarai Managed Resource Reserve area.

The Mades Resolution No. 675/2, effective October 10, 2022, updates the management plan for the Ypacarai Lake Managed Resources Reserve and its adjacent wetlands. It is essential that municipal territorial planning is in line with the guidelines of this management plan to guarantee coherence in the use of resources.

This process involves an inter-institutional collaboration and it is expected that, once completed, it will be presented to the community to receive their valuable input.
