Mades and the Municipality of San Bernardino collaborate in the updating of the Urban and Territorial Planning Plan

Asuncion, IP Agency.- In a joint initiative, the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development (Mades) and the Municipality of San Bernardino are working on updating municipal zoning and the urban and territorial planning plan.

This effort seeks to sustainably manage the urban growth experienced by the San Bernardino district in recent years, especially considering its location within the Ypacarai Managed Resource Reserve area.

The Mades Resolution No. 675/2effective from October 10, 2022, updates the management plan for the Lake Ypacarai Managed Resource Reserve and its adjacent wetlands. It is essential that municipal territorial planning is in line with the guidelines of this management plan to ensure consistency in the use of resources.

This process involves inter-institutional collaboration and is expected to be presented to the community once completed for valuable input.
