President Nicolás Maduro decided to speak about the former Latin American presidents, who were traveling from Panama as observers to the elections this Sunday, July 28, and who were not allowed to enter Venezuela.

According to the president’s explanation in the video, the National Electoral Council (CNE) is the one that decides who enters the country or not, “I don’t get involved in that.”

“You’re not going to see me at the airport with a list to see who I let through or not,” said Nicolás Maduro in the video posted on social media.

In this regard, he commented that he is not to blame for not being allowed into the country.

He added that these former presidents should take precautions, because they were aware that they are “personae non gratae in their countries.”

The former presidents involved in this inconvenience are: former Mexican President Vicente Fox, former Costa Rican President Miguel Ángel Rodríguez and former Colombian Vice President Marta Lucía Ramírez, among others.
