Maduro will close his electoral campaign with a 12-hour “takeover” of Caracas

Nicolás Maduro will close his campaign for the presidential elections on July 28 next Thursday with a 12-hour “takeover” of “the entire territory” of Caracas, Chavismo announced this Saturday.

In a press conference, the head of the official campaign command, Jorge Rodríguez, pointed out that, in the coming days, Chavismo will hold “multitudinous” events in support of Maduro in the 23 states of the country, as part of the last week of the period established by the electoral authorities for the campaign, which began on July 4.

«We have already gone with the presidential candidate (…) taking the capitals, taking the main cities, in immense concentrations“said Rodríguez, who indicated that, in “a month and a half”, the socialist leader has visited more than 180 cities, as part of a process “never seen before in the history of this country«.

Meanwhile, the majority opposition denounces “attacks” and a “persecution” against them, with dozens of “arbitrary” arrests, multiple “obstacles” on roads, closure of businesses that served González Urrutia or the leader María Corina Machado and retention of work teams.
