The Magdalena Governor’s ‘Doctor in Your House’ program has had an investment of $152,000 million pesos and has reached 4,500 citizens from 19 municipalities in the department. It has health professionals such as doctors, nurses and psychologists who have provided timely care to the most vulnerable people. Since their arrival, mortality rates in children under 5 years of age have decreased by 58%, suicide rates by 64%, tuberculosis rates by 39%, and leprosy rates by 60%.
