Major Drug Seizures in Saudi Arabia: 9 kg Hidden in Cars and Luggage

Jeddah: Around 9 kg of drugs were seized in two incidents in Saudi Arabia. They were found skillfully hidden in the interior of the car and in the luggage. The Zakat and Customs Authority informed that four people have been arrested in the incident.

Strong checks are being carried out across the country to curb the use and spread of the drug. Lahari Vetta is led by a team of specially trained experts. Many people have been arrested from different parts of the country in the last few days. In the last two incidents, the authorities seized regarding 9 kg of narcotic drugs.

Six and a half kilos of narcotic drugs were seized from a car trying to enter the country through the Batta border. These were hidden in separate packets inside the interior on the roof of the car.

Two and a half kilos of drugs were seized from the luggage of a passenger who arrived at Riyadh International Airport. They were tried to be smuggled inside the layers of the bag so that they might not be detected. The authority informed that four persons including those who came to receive these in collaboration with Narcotics Control were arrested in the incident.
