The peaceful villages located between Habay and Arlon were disrupted this Saturday, August 5 followingnoon by a major police operation as part of a search for individuals.
Many police officers from the Arlon-Attert-Habay-Martelange area were deployed as well as police officers from neighboring areas who came in support. The traffic police were also called in as reinforcements on the ground.
In the air, a federal police helicopter and a drone from the Gaume police zone were also mobilized.
According to our information, a search operation had started this Saturday at the beginning of the followingnoon. The prosecution specifies that it was a theft committed a little earlier in a house in Habay which gave rise to the chase.
The three thieves fled in a vehicle which was intercepted by the police. The three perpetrators fled into the wild. One of them was recovered by the police. The other two were still in the wild late Saturday followingnoon.
