A large police deployment was underway Monday followingnoon near an elementary school in Terrebonne, in order to locate a “potentially dangerous” individual.

“We want to reassure parents. There is no connection with the school. We are on site to secure the premises and to accompany people, so that the outing of classes goes well, ”insisted Captain David Provencher, spokesman for the Terrebonne police.
Several police officers were at the end of the followingnoon in the area of rue de la Portneuf to find a man considered potentially dangerous, according to the authorities.
It was following an emergency call that the police went to this sector of the city.
It is not known, however, what the individual in question is accused of and what kind of threat he represents.
