Washington: Maju Varghese, 43, of Indian descent, has resigned as director of the White House military office. The resignation was for personal reasons. He announced his resignation on Twitter, saying he considered the position a lifelong honor. Maju also worked in the White House during the Barack Obama era. In 2020, he was the Chief Operating Officer for the presidential campaigns of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. The White House has not commented on whether Maju has been selected as a replacement. Maju did not elaborate on his next plans. Maju’s parents migrated to the US from Thiruvalla. He was born in the US.
