The reality series “Survivor” is back with its fourth season, premiering on Voyo on February 18, 2025. This year, a shakeup awaits with a twist: contestants have been divided into two distinct tribes based on gender.

A Split Decision

Ahead of the premiere, host Ondřej Novotný revealed the new format, separating the contestants into all-female and all-male tribes.

“The division was done on purpose because of Denise,” remarked one user on social media, referencing contestant Denise Melvaldová’s experience on “Bachelor,” where she was also part of a female team. “I’ll be there, so in a purely female team will hit me,” the user quipped.

The change has sparked mixed reactions. While some viewers are intrigued by the concept, others question its fairness.

“A female team, it will be a total massacre,” commented Jana. “I already have a headache for them now,” added Andrea.

Challenges for equity

This gender-based division has raised concerns about balance in challenges.

“‘I don’t understand the division of girls and boys! And the opera singer turns me out,” wrote Andrea. “What is it? Why girls and boys separately? He doesn’t mean that.The fact that he still has to invent some bullshit,”Eva commented

“I think it will mix over time.They can’t do all games to be acceptable for both sexes,” Kate thinks.

“Well, it will be an explosive. female hormones together and male ego together. This will be an explosive. I just don’t know what strength tasks to make it fair,” Kateřina pondered. “The division of the tribes does not mean seriously, perhaps not. That’s so appalling,” Michael added.
