UAE’s first dairy farm producing fully organic milk is coming up in Sharjah Maleeha. This is the latest and unique food security initiative of the Emirate of Sharjah. The first batch of Danish cows for Maleeha Dairy Farm arrived in Sharjah yesterday. The farm will start producing milk from June.
Sharjah Agricultural and Livestock Production Establishment Executive Director Dr. Maleeha Dairy Farm is one of the unique projects in the country. Engineer Khalifa Musabe Ahmed Alteneji said. A thousand Usher cows carrying the A2A2 protein were initially imported from Denmark. The cows were selected keeping international quality in mind. Dr. said that the milk from the farm will be delivered to the consumers without reducing the nutritional value. Khalifa said.
As part of environmental protection, waste will be treated to produce better bio-fertilizer. Dr. Khalifa stated that this fertilizer will be used in the Sharjah wheat farm and through this, organic fodder will be provided to the cows.
