Mali: demonstration by residents of Kidal calling for help from the international community

In the north of Mali, several localities are emptying of their population. The inhabitants of Kidal, a town in the hands of the rebels, demonstrated to call on the international community and the UN mission to ensure their protection.

In the Democratic Republic of Congo, eight peacekeepers suspected of sexual exploitation were arrested. The United Nations mission on which they depend announced that it had taken strong measures once morest them for serious misconduct.
