Malta ∙ The 7th Family Conference of Malankara Syrian Orthodox Europe Bhadrasan was organized in Malta. Bhadrasana Metropolitan Abhi. Dr. Inaugurated by His Holiness Kuriakos Mor Theophilos, the three-day conference was attended by representatives from various parishes of the Church in Europe.

Hosted by Malta St. Mary’s Malankara Syriac Orthodox Parish, the conference was attended by families from countries like Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Italy, Netherlands and Belgium. The family meeting was also organized as a pilgrimage to the place where Saint Paul Slieha had touched his feet.

There were discussions and classes regarding faith-related areas and the challenges faced by the faith community in Europe. Malankara Catholic Church member who is doing higher education in Rome Fr. Dominic Savio led classes on family life and the younger generation – Western life. For discussions and classes on the role of women, crises and opportunities in the Christian life, Fr. Dr. Thomas Jacob Manimala, Fr. Eldos Vattaparampil led the way.

V. Regarding the theological interpretations of the Eucharist, Fr. Joshi took classes at Vettikkat. Eldos led several entertainments and games for the children. Fr. Ranju Abraham, Fr. Tijo Marcos led the way.

On the occasion of the family meeting, the Europe Bhadrasana Council met and discussed the future activities of Bhadrasana and it was decided to strengthen the youth association activities in all parishes and organize a camp for young women in the year 2024.

Paul P George (Malta Parish Vicar), Arun Paul (Malta Parish Vice President), Eldo Iralil (Malta Parish Secretary), Gion Paulus (Malta Parish Treasurer), Jelu George (Malta Parish Committee Member) and Varghese Abraham (Bhadrasana Joint Secretary) Basil Thomas (Bhadrasana Treasurer), Commander George Patikakudi, Jolly Thuruthumel (Council Members) and Malta Youth Association and Women’s Samaja members presided over the meeting.
