“Maltiečių sriuba” invites you to a feast of goodness soups at the Vilnius Christmas tree

The celebration of kindness soups at the capital’s biggest Christmas tree is already becoming a Christmas tradition, even the very word “soup” sounds like a symbol of helping the elderly before the holidays during the Maltese support campaign. After all, care, compassion and respect for old age can be found under it. “Soup” unites Lithuania and gathers everyone into one big team of kindness. So even on Thursday following work, “sriuba” invites Vilnius residents and city guests to feast and show that we are a strong, mature society for which every member is important.

This year’s soups will satisfy everyone’s tastes

Maltese people and their friends will be treated to 7 types of soups, with everyone in mind: meat kuklaits for the hungry, šupininė and royal borscht for fans of national cuisine, “Shildancije” for those who are frozen, “Good health” for those who care regarding their well-being, and pumpkin for vegetarians. There will also be LRT soup from the campaign partner, which will be poured by famous TV people. The Maltese sponsors have made sure that pastry lovers can also enjoy the festivity – there will be an impressive-sized cake specially baked for this occasion, traditional cookies and other bread products. And, of course, hot tea. So everything that is tastiest and most heart-warming is waiting for you.

Honorable government representatives and guests will share the kindness

The first lady of the country Diana Nausėdienė, Minister of Social Security and Labor Monika Navickienė and Vilnius Mayor Valdas Benkunskas have been invited to participate in the event. By pouring the soup, they will become ambassadors of the goodness of this holiday. In order for the food to bring happiness to all participants and benevolent donors, it will be consecrated by the Maltese bishop Darius Trijonis.

More surprises will await the participants of the celebration

The Maltese strongly invite families to the holiday – Santa Claus will be waiting for the children, and here the little ones will be able to experience their first lesson in kindness, hearing that even the elderly who are weaker than them are waiting for help. The festive mood will be created by Christmas music, the host of the event is Jonas Radzevičius, the DJ of the event is Aleksandras Sakutis. You can capture smiles in a special photo booth!
