Mankayat Malavellappachill; A six-year-old girl who was caught in the current has died, a woman is missing

Thiruvananthapuram: A child died following being swept away in the mountain water patch at Paladot Mankayat, Thiruvananthapuram. Six-year-old Nazriya Fatima died. A woman, a relative of the child, is missing. The earlier missing child was later found but died.

Nazria Fatima was found half a kilometer away from the place where she went missing. He was immediately given first aid and shifted to the hospital but died soon following.

A flash flood occurred at Mankayam Falls today evening. Ten people who came as tourists in the Mankayam banana grove area were involved in the accident. Eight of them were rescued.

The rescue operation was carried out by locals, fire force and police. The search for the missing woman is in full swing. It is reported that the accident happened to the natives of Nedumangad. The survivors have been hospitalized.
