Manorama Online Chief Executive Officer Maryam Mamman Mathew has been elected as a member of the Supervisory Board of Directors of global media conglomerate Van-Ifra. There are 11 new board members including 8 women. The conference in Taipei re-elected Fernando de Yarza as Van-Ifra president. The board also adopted 5 resolutions related to press freedom, including the release of imprisoned journalists and the free press and safety in Ukraine. Van-Ifra is home to 3,000 news publications, technology companies and 60 national publishing organizations representing 18,000 publications in 120 countries.
