Maria Zakharova Mocks US State Department as Ukraine Denies Involvement in Crocus City Hall Attack

2024-03-25 21:00:00

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova commented on the statement of the US State Department that Ukraine was not involved in the terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall. She ridiculed Washington’s remarks and pointed to a change in rhetoric among American officials.

“There wasn’t, period” – a new form of evidence that replaced “Highly Likely” – wrote Zakharova in her telegram channel. So she is ironic regarding the categorical statement of the US State Department representative.

Zakharova emphasized a change in the approach of her American colleagues to formulating their assessments, which prompted her ironic comment. The previously used formulation “highly likely” was often found in statements by Western politicians and served as the basis for accusations without providing specific evidence.
