A few days ago, the diva published a video on Instagram, suggesting that she was not yet quite ready for the big comeback. Lying in her private jet, she looked rather sulky as the first notes of her hit sounded. The captain, microphone in hand, said: “Welcome aboard, Mariah! We are heading towards the North Pole.” To which the singer responded by humming lightly, “Not yet, sorry.” before adding: “They always rush me“.
So don’t worry, Mariah Carey will be there for Christmas… but (hopefully) not before November 1st! Last year, on this same date, she pulled out all the stops to kick off the holiday season. In a YouTube video that went viral, she, frozen in a block of ice and surrounded by strange characters with pumpkin heads, was “defrosted” while shouting: “It’s tiiiiiime!” (Editor’s note: It’s time!).
