Markus Fuchs wants to break the sound barrier over 100 meters – Sport

On Thursday evening at the Liese Prokop Memorial, Markus Fuchs impressively demonstrated that he feels at home on the 100 meter track in St. Pölten. With a time of 10.08 seconds he flew over the track in his “living room”. Fuchs often trains there. In mid-July 2022, he broke Andreas Berger’s all-time record of 10.15 seconds, albeit in Eisenstadt. Now the record belongs to him alone. This makes the 27-year-old the fourth fastest European this year, behind Britons Reece Prescod (9.99) and Zharnel Hughes (10.01) and Frenchman Mouhamadou Fall (10.06).
