This Friday, August 23, around 10 p.m., road checks took place between Prado and Pointe Rouge in Marseille.
We count 16 verbalizations and an arrest for excessive speeding and lack of insurance.
16 fines, one arrest
This road check, carried out jointly by the national and municipal police on this busy road, proved to be particularly successful.
The operation led to the issuance of 16 fines for various offenses to the highway code.
In addition, an individual was arrested for “excessive speed, i.e. more than 50 km/h and lack of insurance”, the national police said in Marseille news. This driver immediately saw his driving license revoked.
Intensification of road checks
According to our information, the national police are planning a intensification significant increase in night-time road checks in the three divisions of Marseille.
These interventions will now be organized every evening on different axes of the city, in order to prevent dangerous behavior and improve road safety.
