Kuwait City: A huge fire broke out in the industrial area of Kuwait. A fire broke out in Shuaiba Industrial Area this followingnoon. After reporting the accident, teams from six fire stations reached the spot and started preventive measures. But the fire spread to the adjoining areas as the cement and paint contained flammable chemicals. Officials said that the firemen were able to douse the fire without any major loss as they reached the spot on time.
Lieutenant General Khalid Rakan Al Mekrad, Chief of the General Fire Force, supervised the proceedings. Control Sector Vice President Major General Jamal Badr Nasser and Ahmadi Governorate Acting Director of Fire Brigade Colonel Muhammad Saud Abdul Aziz also reached the spot. As the country continues to experience intense heat, the risk of fire is not over. The fire department has asked commercial and industrial building owners and tenants to implement fire prevention measures to ensure safety.
